On Sunday, 19 December 2021, we had the opening of our new trail – The Dam Buster Loop.

This new loop starts and ends at the top of Purple Cow. It begins with a short climb which features a number of switch backs. Thereafter, the trail passes over the Oxwagon Pass/Cool Runnings downhill and the fun begins. The descent is built on the slope of the mountain to the east of Purple Cow and snakes its way down to two dams nestled at the feet of the Longmore mountains. The loop then continues up the Purple Cow switchbacks and ends back at the top of Purple Cow.

Dam Buster is approximately a 4km loop with 120m of climbing and is suitable for riders of all skill and fitness levels.
